Geography

With decades of classroom experience, Cameron’s currently a Senior Examiner for a major exam board. For 10 years, he held the esteemed position of A level Chief Examiner, shaping the very landscape of Geography assessment. His influence extends to GCSEs and even international A levels, where he’s helped develop specifications and assessment models. A respected author and editor, Cameron has produced A level and GCSE textbooks for leading publishers.

Chris Eyre

Religious Studies

A seasoned teacher, examiner, author and trainer, Chris brings a wealth of experience to the table. His expertise spans secondary and sixth-form colleges, with over 20 years of examining experience, including time spent as a Principal Examiner. Chris has co-authored numerous RS textbooks and revision guides, and even penned a book on teacher wellbeing, demonstrating a commitment to the holistic development of educators.

Ross Howitt

Sport & PE

Ross brings a wealth of experience to our sessions, having a long-standing reputation for delivering super-focused and informative CPD that teachers love! If it’s about making PE teaching better, Ross is involved – he’s a regular contributor to educational publications and provides expert consultancy to schools and colleges all across the country. He’s built and managed a strong team of PE teachers for one of the country’s largest and most successful exam boards.

Simon Lemieux

Politics

Simon is a very experienced teacher and trainer, having run a very successful History and Politics Department at The Portsmouth Grammar School for 27 years until 2024. He still teaches part time and remains a Senior Teacher. He has authored many textbooks and revision guides for AQA A-level Politics. In addition, he is an Assistant Editor of the student magazine Politics Review where he has written numerous articles and is also a senior examiner with a major examination board.

Paul Logue

Geography

Paul Logue is the Head of Geography and a Teaching and Learning Leader at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College. He is also the Chair of the Post-16 and Higher Education Phase Committee for the Geographical Association and a winner of the Royal Geographical Society’s Ordnance Survey Award.  He is an experienced educator, staff governor and leader with a passion for innovative teaching and learning strategies. Paul is the founder of @GeogChat, a social media group for teachers to share their love of geography.

Vicky McKinlay

Geography

Vicky is a middle leader in Geography at a large secondary school in the North West of England and brings extensive experience as a senior examiner for a leading examination board. She is deeply committed to empowering teachers through high-quality educational training and has been delivering impactful sessions for many years. In addition to her work in education, Vicky is a qualified professional coach, further enhancing her ability to support the development of others.

Sam Schmitt

Economics

As Head of Economics at St Paul’s School in London and a senior examiner, Sam Schmitt brings a wealth of knowledge to the field of Economics. A seasoned educator, examiner, author, and trainer, Sam has authored many textbooks and student guides for Pearson Edexcel A level Economics.
 

Sam Slater

History

Sam has been teaching history for over 20 years.  She is currently Head of History at the Victory Academy in Chatham, Kent.  Sam works as a Senior Examiner for a leading exam board.  Sam has previously written CPD for Hodder Education as well as a number of GCSE History textbooks.  Sam’s most recent publication is Engaging with Pearson Edexcel GCSE (9–1) History: Medicine in Britain, c1250–present and The British sector of the Western Front, 1914–18.
 

Kate Stockings

Geography

Kate is a highly accomplished Geography educator, currently serving as a Trust Lead for Geography at Future Academies. She has taught the Pearson Edexcel A level course for over 9 years and contributed to numerous published resources to help teachers teach it. As an author and SCITT mentor, Kate is deeply committed to developing geography educators at all stages in their career.
