With decades of classroom experience, Cameron’s currently a Senior Examiner for a major exam board. For 10 years, he held the esteemed postition of A level Chief Examiner, shaping the very landscape of Geography assessment. His influence extends to GCSEs and even international A levels, where he’s helped develop specifications and assessment models. A respected author and editor, Cameron has produced A level and GCSE textbooks for leading publishers.

Chris Eyre

Religious Studies

A seasoned teacher, examiner, author and trainer, Chris brings a wealth of experience to the table. His expertise spans secondary and sixth-form colleges, with over 20 years of examining experience, including time spent as a Principal Examiner. Chris has co-authored numerous RS textbooks and revision guides, and even penned a book on teacher wellbeing, demonstrating a commitment to the holistic development of educators.

Ellena Gilson

Physics

A former Head of Department at a top grammar school, Ellena brings over 25 years of exceptional teaching experience to the field of Physics education. She’s a highly experienced A level examiner, holding senior positions at two major exam boards, where she plays a key role in shaping assessement standards. A respected author, Ellena creates A level and GCSE resources for a variety of publishers and also runs her own tutoring business, dedicated to improving exam outcomes. 

Jan Hayes

Religious Studies

Jan is a true Religious Studies expert! She’s not just led a successful department, she’s lived and breathed Religious Studies across all levels. Jan’s experience with two leading exam boards gives her an expert’s knowledge of assessment, informing her impactful work as an author. She’s penned essential textbooks for both KS3 and GCSE, including co-authoring the AQA-approved GCSE Religious Studies textbook for Hodder Education and contributing to the Explore KS3 RS series.

Paul Logue

Geography

Currently, Head of Geography at St Dominc’s Sixth Form College in North-West London, Paul brings a fresh perspective enthusiam to the field of Geography. Paul’s a committee member on the Geographical Association’s Post-16 and Higher Education Committee, influencing the future of Geography education. His expertise is highly sought after; he’s an examiner for a major exam board and a contributor to various publisher’s programmes.

Catherine Owen

Geography

With 30 years of experience in 11-18 comprehensive schools, including 25 years as Head of Geography, Catherine’s expertise is highly sought after. As an examiner for a major exam board, the Vice-President of the Geographical Association and a Chartered Geography Teacher, Catherine’s expertise is evident in the range of textbooks and revision guides she’s co-authored, inclduing Progress in Geography, Clear Revise revision guide and Hodder Education’s student workbooks. 

Kate Stockings

Geography

Kate is a highly accomplished Geography educator, currently serving as a Trust Lead for Geography at Future Academies. She has taught the Pearson Edexcel A level course for over 9 years and contributed to numerous published resources to help teachers teach it. As an author and SCITT mentor, Kate is deeply committed to developing geography educators at all stages in their career. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her roles, inspiring both students and colleagues with her passion for all things geography!
